Nicole S. MacFarland, Ph.D., LCSW-R, CASAC is a licensed Clinical Social Worker and Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor. Dr. MacFarland earned her BA from Skidmore College, her master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Social Policy & Practice and earned her Doctoral degree from University at Albany, School of Social Welfare.
Over the past twenty years, Dr. MacFarland has held positions as Executive Director and Clinical Director for Senior Hope Counseling. Her career spans over thirty years in various roles including direct clinical practice, supervisory, management, and executive level oversight. She has lectured locally, state-wide and nationally on the topic of geriatric addictions and mental health disorders among older adults.
Dr. MacFarland’s specialty areas include the evaluation and treatment of adults with anxiety, depression, trauma and substance use disorders using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and a Harm Reduction approach to treatment.
