Dr. Nevedal is a licensed Clinical Psychologist. She earned her doctorate at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. She completed her clinical internship at West Virginia University Dept. of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry, and a fellowship in Clinical Health Psychology at VA Connecticut/Yale Dept. of Psychiatry. She is a member of the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science, and APA Div. 38- Health Psychology. She has published and presented research on chronic pain, medication adherence, and clinical interventions. Dr. Nevedal specializes in evaluation and treatment of adults with depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, OCD, borderline personality disorder, chronic illness/pain conditions, insomnia, binge eating, and obesity. She has specialized training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies. She is committed to the evidence-based practice of psychology integrating empirically supported therapies and empirically supported therapy relationships, with consideration for patient characteristics, culture and preferences.
